| 抄録: | This paper is a personal account of the listening component of a seven-week English for Academic Purposes course conducted in Beijing, China during the summer of 1996. The participants were Ph.D. students from throughout China who were going to start an agricultural economics Ph.D. Program in the fall of 1996. The paper describes the program and materials, describes some problems with the listening comprehension testing material, and raises concerns with the evaluation of listening skills. |
