| 抄録: | This paper explores the advantages to investing the time and money needed to attend annual conferences of large research organizations. Examples are provided from the author's experience at the Association of Asian Studies 2004 annual conference. The value of attendance includes professional visibility, exposure to new research fields and topics, human networking, publication potential, and other informational experiences. |
